Active carbon is a kind of high-purity lime. It has the characteristics of small bulk density, high porosity, fine crystals, high strength, large specific surface area, and low sulfur content.

Production Process

Activated lime is calcined at high temperature to obtain lime, which is initially crushed by jaw crusher. After crushing, the material enters the ball mill or Raymond mill production system. The grinding and classification operations are automatically completed in the mill. The qualified lime powder is released by the discharge valve, which is the finished product.

Ball Mill For Active Carbon

The commonly used ball mill crushes to 120 mesh-200 mesh. The shaped ball mill is continuously fed and discharged. Generally, the amount of feed is adjusted according to the particle size of the product. In order to avoid the increase of iron content during the ball milling of activated carbon, the ball mill is usually lined with a layer of hard wood and crushed with pebble or porcelain balls.
